FORT WORTH, Texas, July 25, 2025 —  Sinclair Digital is proud to be chosen to deliver the Virgin Islands Public School System a 1MW / 2MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and an advanced microgrid controller for the new Arthur Richards PreK–8 School Campus. This integrated solution enhances the campus’s energy resilience and sustainability.  

The school requires a high-performance, self-sustaining energy system capable of maintaining operations during grid outages while reducing long-term energy costs. Sinclair Digital’s system will provide seamless backup power to critical areas—including the gymnasium, which also serves as a community shelter—during extended utility interruptions. 

Additionally, the system is pre-configured to support onsite renewable generation (such as solar PV), peak shaving, and demand response programs. The campus is also designed to be net-zero energy ready, and the BESS plays a critical role in enabling off-grid operation for extended periods of time following a natural disaster, providing a vital bridge until power is restored.
