Virgin Islands Public School

The Virgin Islands Public School System selected a Sinclair Digital 1MW / 2MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and microgrid controller for the new Arthur Richards PreK–8 Campus. The solution boosts energy resilience, reduces long-term costs, and supports the school’s net-zero readiness. It provides seamless backup power to key areas like the gym/community shelter during outages and is designed to integrate with solar PV, peak shaving, and demand response. The system enables extended off-grid operation after disasters, ensuring continuity until power is restored.
